Rising Star Games, Mindscape Partnership Will Bring Two Titles to ANZ

Global gaming publisher Rising Star Games and Mindscape, a game and software distributor, have announced they will be partnering up to bring two Rising Star Games’ titles to Australia and New Zealand.

The two titles coming to ANZ will be Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God and Hometown Story.

Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God and will be releasing for the PlayStation Vita and tells the story of Pupuru, an aspiring sorceress who is trying to save her friend’s small curry restaurant from the huge curry chain that has moved into the neighbourhood. The title will feature classic dungeon crawling gameplay, alongside JRPG storytelling as players face off with monster while using their curry-powered magic.

Hometown Story is being developed by Yasuhiro Wada, who is known as the ‘Father of Harvest Moon’, and his studio Toybox for the Nintendo 3DS. Hometown Story will feature designs by Atsuko Nishida – the artists behind Pokémon – and music composed by Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematso. Players will experience a new world full of colour, mixing adventure, discovery and wonder, in similar vein to the Harvest Moon series.

“Rising Star Games’ main goal is to bring exciting and unique games to as many people around the world as possible, so being able to work with Mindscape only helps to extend the reach of our releases even further,” said Martin Defries, MD of Rising Star Games. “Hometown Story and Sorcery Saga are two great titles and knowing that gamers in the ANZ region can now enjoy them too is fantastic news.”

“We are really excited to welcome Rising Star Games to our already stellar line up of games partners.” Said Tonia Velasco, COO of Mindscape Asia Pacific. “Their diverse range of titles is very popular amongst gamers and we look forward to releasing more games in the future.”

Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God and Hometown Story will both launch in July for $59.95.
