Runers is a top-down shooter which has drawn inspiration from titles such as Gauntlet and The Binding of Isaac, hoping to combine the best elements of both. The title will have players fighting their way through dungeons, combining potions for various effects, gathering runes, defeating enemies and boss creatures, and unlocking new abilities.
Mark Bergerson, the co-creator from LGK Games, states, “Our main focus during development was customization and replayability.” Those familiar with one of the previously mentioned inspirations, Gauntlet, should be fairly familiar with replay value and a degree of customization within your character.
A trailer was also released for the title, which is available for your viewing pleasure below.
Runers is set to release for PC via Steam on September 2, 2014 with a price tag of $9.99. The demo is currently available on Steam to those who are curious as to how the game plays. Will you be picking this title up, trying out the demo, or passing on it? Let us know in the comments below!
