Actually, ‘Assassin’s Creed Victory’ Was Teased Back in March

Update #1

Some folks have been reporting the below image is actually an early concept of Arno, it being included in Unity‘s art-book.

Original Story Below

Several hours ago, Ubisoft’s next entry in the Assassin’s Creed saga – codenamed/actually named Assassin’s Creed Victory – had been leaked. Said apparent mistake had revealed several screenshots, in addition to at least one new gameplay mechanic in the form of a now-popular grappling-hook (made famous by franchises such as Just Cause or Batman: Arkham). But is this the actual first time we have seen the 19th century London-based Assassin’s Creed? Maybe not.

Back in March, a photograph (seen above) taken by an anonymous source had been posted on the internet, one which clearly depicted a Victorian era assassin. Now that actual screenshots from the next entry have been leaked, the similarities clearly reveal both assassins are actually the same one. When the above screen was first revealed, everyone had thought this would be the 2014 Assassin’s Creed, although it turned out to be Assassin’s Creed Unity.

At any rate, Assassin’s Creed Victory launches in the fall of 2015, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. As mentioned by us in the link above, Ubisoft has officially ditched the last generation consoles, so there won’t be yet again two Assassin’s Creed games. Unless the studio decides to remaster Assassin’s Creed Rogue.
