Are you a fan of Borderlands 2? Have you played as each of the four available classes and still want more? Are you excited by the Mechromancer class that’s coming out? If you’ve said ‘yes’ to any of the previous questions, you’ll be ecstatic to learn that the Mechromancer named Gaige is being released on October 16th.
You know, after listening to that ECHO file acting as her own personal diary, she seems very similar to Tiny Tina… in the best way possible. Clearly Gaige is a teenage girl with a sound knowledge of science, mechanics, etc, and has a tendency to be a little on the vengeful side. If you liked Tiny Tina and her absurd antics, you’ll likely love Gaige. If you didn’t… what’s your problem?
If you’re a member of the Premier Club (aka you pre-ordered the game), you’ll receive this fifth class absolutely free, otherwise you’ll be shelling out $9.99 or 800 MS points for it. It’s currently unclear whether or not she’ll get her own explanation as to why she’s on the planet like each of the four main classes did (supposing you found the hidden ECHO files in specific areas of the game), but either way I feel it’s safe to say Gaige will be an enjoyable character to play.

Eric was initially supposed to be the fifth class in Borderlands 2, but Gearbox felt more people would be willing to play as a teenage girl.
