On Friday, we were shown a 16 second teaser trailer by Sony called “The Reload”. Sony has just released a second trailer called “The Arrival” which features the same receptionist from the “Michael” trailer. Lets watch the trailer first shall we?
First off, we see a jeep coming down a narrow street before it cuts to what is later revealed to be the receptionist typing on a typewriter in Lombax, a language from the Ratchet and Clank series. The use of the Lombax language in the trailer at this point would strengthen the argument that we’re being led up to a Playstation Allstars trailer.
The reception the woman is sitting at it the same from “The Reload” with the cash register still sporting the phrase “SARU! GET YOU” with the PlayStation face buttons clock on the wall. The jeep that pulls up outside has lots of equipment in the back that you might use for digging and excavating. And if you saw the license plate, you’d recognise the Precursor language from the Jak and Daxter series. A man is then silhouetted in the Jeep as he signals the receptionist but we catch a brief glimpse of him getting out of the car in the reflection of the windscreen. And it looks like Nathan Drake.
It’s quite obvious that this trailer is going to be a PlayStation Allstars trailer but you’ll have to come back to Analog Addiction on the 23rd of October to find out.
