Today, The Wolverine website posted it’s first teaser poster for the film, set for release next July.
The Wolverine stars Hugh Jackman yet again with director James Mangold best known for the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line. The Wolverine is set in Japan and follows Wolverine’s time in Japan from the comics.
Set after X-Men: The Last Stand, the X-Men have been disbanded, Jean Grey is six feet under along with Cyclops and Professor X. According to Mangold, the film will be a lot more grounded than the previous X films and will be a much more personal story that explores Wolverines life of immortality.
Right now, or on the 29th of October if you’re reading this later, Jackman and Mangold are doing a livestream talking about the film. Oh, and it’s going to be very violent. I just felt millions of Wolverine fans cry out in joy.
