New Multiplayer Details on ‘Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon’

Last week, it was accidentally revealed that the 3DS title Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will have local multiplayer.

Now, Nintendo has more in-depth details about the game’s multiplayer modes.

For starters, Dark Moon will feature local, online and Download Play capabilities.

Playing with up to three other differently colored Luigis, you will venture into the ScareScraper where the objective is to clear out all of the ghosts on each floor. Teamwork is essential in order to eradicate the ghost on every floor and reviving fallen teammates before the clock reaches zero. If players work well enough together, upgrades or bonuses may be required to make clearing out ghosts much easier. Once the floors are cleared out and players reach the top floor, a boss battle awaits them.

There are a number of difficulty settings that will appeal to a wide variety of players as well. You may also choose the number of floors you want to play through whether it’s five, 10, or 25.

What do you think? Does this multiplayer intrigue you? Perhaps it’s unnecessary? Maybe it even sucks… get it? Like Luigi’s Poltergust 5000? Let us know in the comments section below.
