INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US #14 REVIEW

This was an interesting issue, while not action packed, it addressed yet another problem centering around Batman’s world. This issue as the first panel showed is leading up to what we would believe is Damian’s death, as he mentioned his son being dead and the look on his face of horror made it all too clear he had lost someone close to him.

Not only has Batman been put on the spot for the Joker killing almost all of Metropolis in that explosion, but he is a villain of his that has been put away numerous times just to escape and take more lives. This is something that those such as Superman and Wonder Woman quickly took notice of as Arkham asylum has failed many times to keep the many psychopaths that continue to plague the streets behind locked doors to get the help they need. It was interesting to see how Superman declared that he’d remove them from the city where they can’t harm anyone else, yet Batman who’s supposed to protect these people isn’t willing to do what has to be done to avoid further bloodshed. Even Damian Wayne, could see where Batman was blind and informed Superman and Wonder Woman of his plans to keep the two from the Arkham prisoners.

If Damian is to be the one to die, it will more than likely be on Batman’s head because while majority of the heroes are taking a more proactive role in the world, he remains to fight against the world they are trying to make. A world where they can avoid such disasters before they can happen. This book overall has made an exciting world where the heroes are basically playing as gods. While this issue itself is nothing too big, it certainly is a great build up on something to come.
