EA and Insomniac Games has announced that a demo will be available this Wednesday, May 8th (or whatever day the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace update in your region).
The demo will feature online co-op with up to four players, and two player split-screen (finally!). All four characters (Dalton Brooks, Izzy Sinclair, Jacob Kimble and Naya Deveraux) will be playable, so gamers will be able to get a sneak peak at the group’s special weapons and abilities in action.
“When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing we’ve noticed when sharing it with others for the first time is that playing is believing,” said Ted Price, CEO and founder of Insomniac Games. “Fuse takes four player co-op in a new direction with features you won’t find in other third person shooters: from LEAP where you can jump between each of the four unique agents at will to the experimental Xenotech weapons to the deep RPG-like character progression system. And by the way, all of these features rock for solo players as well. Join us in this brand new universe for a quintessential Insomniac Games experience.”
Fuse features levelling up and putting stats into character paths, allowing players to unlock “Fuse-driven abilities as the game progresses.” In addition, the levelling system carries over from the campaign to a wave-based ‘Echelon’ mode, which means players will always be improving their characters.

Fuse is being developed by Insomniac Games and marks the first multiplatform release for the developers. Fuse will be available on May 28 in North America, May 30 in Australia, and May 31 in New Zealand and Europe.
