Nintendo eShop: 6/20/13 – 6/27/13

This week on Nintendo’s eShop, we are seeing a slew of new additions to the 3DS’ virtual console library and much more.

Originally announced during February’s Nintendo Direct, New Super Luigi U is debuting on the Wii U’s eShop for $19.99. As a part of Nintendo’s “Year of Luigi,” this piece of DLC changes all of the levels in New Super Mario Bros. U into more challenging courses and reduces the time limit for players to complete the each level within a 100 second time frame. However, New Super Mario Bros. U is required to play Super Luigi unless you want to wait for a standalone physical retail version of the DLC, which releases Aug. 25 for $29.99.

Club Nintendo members are also receiving a limited time offer through Aug. 1. Purchasing New Super Luigi U will give members double the coins when they complete a survey. Members will also receieve a chance to win a Luigi pin.

The next entry to the Wario Ware franchise, Game and Wario, will be releasing Sunday June 23 to retailers and the Wii U’s eShop at midnight.

Download titles Little Inferno and Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo are also discounted to $4.99 and $3.99. The offer on Little Inferno stands until 9:00 a.m. PT on June 25 while Super Little Acorns 3D Turbo’s offer stands until 9:00 a.m. PT on July 8.

The following titles are releasing for download:

  • Mario Bros. (Virtual Console)
  • Wrecking Crew (Virtual Console)

  • BUGS vs. TANKS!
  • Defenders of Oasis (Virtual Console)
