Today’s “Persona Event” in Japan has been quite the spectacle. For months we were teased with pending announcements, but no more. Here was today’s first announcement, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth for the Nintendo 3DS.
Anyone familiar with Persona franchise will be surprised to see a game from the series become exclusive to a platform that isn’t PlayStation branded, but it is with good reason. Persona Q is an Etrian Odyssey-styled game with the worlds of Persona 3 and Persona 4 – and such a game lends itself to the 3DS’s dual screen nature. That said, this spin off has still got its own style, with a hip funky vibe and all our favorite characters from the Persona most recents two games and featuring the type of music fans know and love. You know, only Chibi-fied.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is expected to hit Japan on June 5th, 2014. No word on any localization plans (if any), but we’ll keep you posted here at Analog Addiction. And if you’re excited or worried about the latest entry in the Persona brand, let us know in the comments below!
