Original story:

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed that the Doctor Who universe will be in the LEGO Dimensions video game.

Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez will voice their respective characters – the 12th Doctor, Clara Oswald and Missy – from the television program in LEGO Dimensions.

A new trailer shows the TARDIS appearing in Gotham City and Hill Valley, the Doctor battling alongside Homer Simpson in Aperture Science from the Portal video game series, and even riding a haunted mine cart with Scooby Doo and Shaggy.

This is the first time Doctor Who characters have ever been in a LEGO video game. Doctor Who will be playable in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, which comes with a complete Doctor Who level.

There will also be a Doctor Who Level Pack which includes an additional mission-based Doctor Who level, a LEGO minifigure of the 12th Doctor and LEGO models of the TARDIS and K-9, all playable in-game. WB tells us that the TARDIS and K-9 models can be physically built and then rebuilt twice to do different things in the digital game.

For an extra touch for fans, when the 12th Doctor is defeated in the level, he returns as the 1st Doctor and then regenerates back up to the 12th Doctor.

LEGO Dimensions will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Wii U from September 28, 2015.
