‘Rocket League’ is Heading to Xbox One

Rocket League, the soccer game with cars, is finally coming to Xbox One. Having already been released on PC and PlayStation 4 earlier this year, the game will be available in February 2016.

The Xbox One version of Rocket League will include the three content packs that have been released thus far, Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run. Those downloadable content packs, give players six extra cars and more than 50 garage customization items.

Two Xbox One-exclusive cars will also be included in Rocket League, a Halo themed “HogSticker”, and a Gears of War themed “Armadillo”.

“We love those games, and wanted to give Xbox users something special for patiently waiting for Rocket League to come to their system,” said Jeremy Dunham, Vice President at Psyonix. “We also have a rather strong tie to Gears of War in particular, as the team here at Psyonix developed the ‘Burnt Rubber’ stage for the original Xbox 360 version of Gears of War all those years ago. It was great to be able to go back to our roots and pay homage to one of the games that got us started. As for Halo, we’re just big, big fans – and we’d be crazy to NOT want to do a version of the Warthog for our game. And that’s how the HogSticker was born. It’s called the HogSticker, by the way, because it’s a modified Warthog with Needlers strapped to the back, as its primary propulsion devices. It’s pretty damned cool!”

The Back to the Future DeLorean Machine DLC will also be available for sale on launch day.

Psyonix has promised that it will continue to support Rocket League of Xbox One as it has the other platforms the game is on. A free arena was added to the game with the launch of the Chaos Run content pack earlier this week.
