One of the most anticipated Xbox One exclusives for this coming year has just been pushed back. Platinum Games, developer of the title, published an update today on their official website informing fans that the game would not be available until 2017. Citing quality assurance and the desire to offer a game which lives up to the expectations of fans as the reasons, it’s difficult to blame Platinum Games for making this decision. Scalebound is advertised as one of the company’s most ambitious title to date, partnering the player with a dragon named Thuban as they explore an expansive, evolving world.
Scalebound was originally scheduled to release on the Xbox One at some point in 2016, although as previously mentioned, will now be launched on the console in 2017. Are you disappointed by the delay? Are you excited for Scalebound? Let us know in the comments below!
