Xbox and Deep Silver have announced that Homefront: The Revolution will be available on May 17, 2016, and a closed beta is coming to Xbox One in February. The news was announced in a post on Xbox Wire, Xbox’s news website.
To gain access to the closed beta you’ll need an Xbox One Beta Token, which Will Tuttle of Xbox Wire says “will be given out during several promotions in the coming weeks, both here on Xbox.com and at the official Homefront website.”
It appears the closed beta will feature co-op gameplay, with a page on the game’s website saying players can register for the beta to “embark on different online co-op missions to get your first taste of fighting The Revolution”.
To correspond with the release date and beta news, Deep Silver has released a trailer providing more information about the story in Homefront: The Revolution‘s single player mode, titled “This is Philadelphia”.
Homefront: The Revolution will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Linux on May 17, 2016.
