Sony & Naughty Dog Auction Rare PS4 Console to Raise Money for Youth Cancer

Sony and Naughty Dog are auctioning off a rare 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 console signed by members of the Naughty Dog team, with all proceeds going towards youth cancer charity – YouCan.

Following the announcement late last year, the rare PlayStation 4 console is now finally available on eBay for fans to start bidding and help support this incredible initiative. YouCan helps support young people with cancer, with the initiative created to improve cancer survival rates and fund specialised cancer centres around Australia.

The rare console has the signatures of some illustrious Naughty Dog team members, which include Christophe Balestra (Co-President of Naughty Dog), Evan Wells (Co-President of Naughty Dog), Neil Druckmann (Creative Director of The Last of UsUncharted 4), and Bruce Straley (Game Director of The Last of UsUncharted 4). The 20th Anniversary PlayStation 4 console is also only one of 150 that are available in Australia and the console will come with a certificate of authenticity.

“Alongside our partner PlayStation Australia, we are pleased to auction this unique item to help build much-needed youth cancer centres,” said Sophie Ryan, CEO, Sony Foundation Australia. “Sadly too many young Australians with cancer are falling through the gaps of our medical system. We are working to change this and improve survival rates with care for 16 to 25 year olds”.

“Naughty Dog as a studio is truly admired by everyone in the gaming industry and we are pleased to partner with them to create this unique auction,” said Michael Ephraim, Managing Director Sony Computer Entertainment Australia. “We hope players get involved and bid on this priceless console for a truly great cause.”

If you want to help raise money for YouCan, while also trying to purchase this amazing rare console, you will have until Wednesday, March 23 at 14:00 AEST to make your bid, before the lucky winner is decided. You can also donate to YouCan here.
