‘The Division’ Free Incursions Update Now Available

Ubisoft has announced that the first free content update for The Division is now available for all players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. The update is called Incursions, and is the first of two free updates for the game.

The Incursion updates brings a few new activities to the game, including a squad-based mission called, fittingly, an Incursion. The Incursion is called Falcon Lost and sees “players team up with the Joint Task Force in an epic fight against the Last Man Battalion and their new deadly weapon”, according to a Ubisoft press release. This is an end-game activity, designed to offer a big challenge for players.

Other activities in the Incursion update include Dark Zone Supply Drops which are global events that provide non-contaminated gear that don’t require extraction. There will also be new assignments which are timed tasks that offer additional rewards.

The Incursion update also introduces player to player loot trading, and a Gear Score to compare the power of player’s items. Four new gear sets are being added to the game too, providing bonuses if a whole set is worn.

Finally, the update include the debut of Operation ISAC, an in-game video series that delivers weekly assignments to players every Tuesday at Noon Paris time.

To celebrate the launch of the post-launch content, Ubisoft has released an infographic featuring some interesting statistics from The Division so far. It seems players like their jumping jacks.
