‘SMITE’ Double XP Weekend

As part of Microsoft’s ongoing ID@Xbox Game Fest, there is a focus being placed on free to play titles this week. Falling into the category of “Free to Play,” SMITE is offering gamers on Xbox no shortage of incentive to spend a large portion of their weekend with the gods. From now until May 15, all gods in SMITE are available for free use. After Sunday, the gods will revert to the traditional style of rotation and any gods not purchased in-game will become locked once again, but this grants casual players far more opportunity to test out different heroes along with their abilities.

In addition to the temporary access to all current gods, from May 13 through until May 15, all players will be granted double experience points, worshipers, favor, and fantasy points. To those familiar with SMITE, this is a huge boost in those categories, and while there was recently a double xp weekend, it was only granted to those who played in a private party of at least two. There are no limitations or restrictions on this offering, it simply gets awarded to every single person playing any game of SMITE on the Xbox One across those three days, making it the perfect time to boost the number of gods you have mastered or expose yourself to new heroes.

After this celebratory weekend is completed, if you find yourself wanting access to every god again, you can always pick up the Ultimate God Pack which unlocks every current and future god in the game. If you have never played a game of SMITE before, this is the perfect time to try it out because not only is it completely free to download, you will have access to an almost overwhelming number of gods and there will undoubtedly be a significant influx of players, new and old, taking advantage of this weekend.
