‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is being called “the most expansive and comprehensive” Dragon Ball game ever developed, with critically acclaimed developer Dimps at the helm. Dimps has developed Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to “fully utilise” the power of current generation consoles and PCs.

“As the franchise is celebrating its 30th Anniversary, Dragon Ball games are a fan-favorite within Bandai Namco Entertainment’s huge video game portfolio and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will surely build upon that illustrious legacy,” said Hervé Hoerdt, VP of Marketing & Digital at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe.” With Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, we’re working closely with the team at Dimps to push this experience to new heights.”

Little is known about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 aside from the announcement trailer (available above) that was released alongside the announcement. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 seems to once again focus on players creating their own character who is able to travel through the Dragon Ball universe timeline to keep history in-tact.

The original Dragon Ball Xenoverse launched in 2015 and Analog Addiction said, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a mixed bag, but as a Dragon Ball fan this is one of the best entries in the series to date.”

  1. as a DBZ fanboy, this still looks the same as Xenoverse, just with improved graphics and a bigger map, would be great if they add an in-game chat box for PC players (the fixed messages was just a shitload kill-joy), also be able fight in certain areas of the cities with people (PVP) rather than just in quests or arenas through reception NPCs! that would be epic!

    • Yeah from the small amount of footage shown in the trailer, the visuals don’t seem to have been improved by much; I guess that’s just what happens when the sequel is announced just over a year from the initial release. Xenoverse had some excellent aspects, so hopefully they can refine them and create an impressive sequel.
