Updated: ‘Injustice 2’ Announcement Trailer Released

Update: A press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed a couple of details about Injustice 2. The wording is very vague, but players will be able to customise and personalise their fighters in Injustice 2 by acquiring new gear throughout the game. It will allow players to “control how their characters look, fight and develop across a variety of game modes”. You can see this in action in the trailer below.

“In Injustice 2, we are introducing new features that will change the way fans play fighting games,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios.  “We’re always interested in pushing the genre forward and allowing players to customise and level-up their favourite DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains is a significant leap.”

The game will have a story continuing on from Injustice: Gods Among Us. The press release says Batman and his allies are working to repair society after the fall of Superman’s regime, but there are others who want to restore his regime. The game will also feature a new threat “that will put Earth’s existence at risk”.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment says Injustice 2 will have the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, including fan favourites (see the trailer below) and new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd.

Original Story

Following rumours and leaks in the past couple of days, Netherealm and Warner Bros. have announced and confirmed the development of Injustice 2 with an announcement trailer.

The trailer released features superheroes from the DC Universe such as the Batman, Flash, Aquaman and Superman all battling it out in an epic-ly coreographed action sequence, overdubbed with a monologue by what sounds to be critically awarded actor, Bryan Cranston? Watch below:

Injustie 2 is said to be launching 2017, no more details have been announced as of yet but it is expected more light will be shed on the game in the upcoming E3 conference.
