Update: On the Elder Scrolls Online website, game producer Matt Firor revealed more details about how “One Tamriel” will work. Levelling will work the way it does in the DLC packs for Elder Scrolls Online. Firor calls it “battle leveling”.
“In general,” Firor writes, “higher level players will be the same ‘level’ as lower level players, but they will have far more tools in their arsenal: better gear, more abilities, and of course more Champion points.”
Further, there will no longer be any PvE Alliance restrictions, allowing players of one Alliance to explore areas from other Alliances. However, Alliance restrictions will still be enforced in all PvP areas because One Tamriel will not affect the PvP system.
Gear awards are also being adjusted to scale appropriately to make sure players “always [have] a way to get more powerful via crafting, questing, PvP, and dungeon/trial boss loot drops.”
Finally, the Coldharbour zone will be “roped off” from players who have yet to complete the quests that lead there, however you can gain access to the zone by travelling to a friend or joining a group that is already there.
ZeniMax Online Studios has announced that its MMO, the Elder Scrolls Online, will be launching in Japan on June 23rd. The developer also announced a new gameplay system coming to the Elder Scrolls Online called One Tamriel.
One Tamriel will automatically level all characters to the content in the world automatically. This means you can explore the game world freely with no level restrictions preventing you from accessing areas. One Tamriel will be available in Fall, 2016.
Finally, a launch trailer for the Dark Brotherhood content pack on console was shown.
