Nintendo Releasing New Mini NES Console

Reeling off the launch success of Pokemon Go, Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing a ‘Nintendo Classic Mini’ console, essentially a smaller re-iteration of the first and highly succesful Nintendo Entertainment System released in 1985 by Nintendo.

The console revealed is shown to be small enough to fit in the palm of a hand and is designed to allow fans to relive the 80s. The Nintendo Classic Mini console comes bundled with 30 built in games with including the greatest hits from the NES-era. The list of the games included are:

  • BUBBLE BOBBLE
  • Castlevania
  • Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
  • Donkey Kong
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
  • Dr. Mario
  • Excitebike
  • FINAL FANTASY
  • Galaga
  • GHOSTS’N GOBLINS
  • GRADIUS
  • Ice Climber
  • Kid Icarus
  • Kirby’s Adventure
  • Mario Bros. 
  • MEGA MAN 2
  • Metroid
  • NINJA GAIDEN
  • PAC-MAN
  • Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
  • StarTropics
  • SUPER C
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • Super Mario Bros. 2

Nintendo has stated that the Nintendo Classic Mini will come packaged with an HDMI cable, a USB cable for powering the system, and one NES Controller (compatible with Wiimotes).
