‘Marvel Ultimate Alliance’ Heading To Xbox One, PS4 & PC This Week

During San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, Marvel announced that it is bringing Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this week – Tuesday July 26 to be exact.

The titles will be available digitally for $39.99 (US) each, or together as a bundle for $59.99 (US). Marvel has not announced retail versions.

In an interview on Marvel.com, executive producer Mike Jones said:

“We wanted these re-releases to be as faithful to the original Ultimate Alliance games as possible—the definitive versions. However, the team did work really hard on improving performance, some UI and graphic enhancements as well as making the games compatible with modern platform features on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.”

Marvel Ultimate Alliance was released ten years ago (2006), which Jones gives as a reason for the re-release – as well as fan demand. He also hints that this could mark a new beginning for the Ultimate Alliance franchise saying “Anything is possible, True Believers!”

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 will also feature local and online co-op allowing four players to play together online or in the same room.

For those unaware, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games are action RPGs allowing players to level up Marvel characters as they progress.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Xbox 360) has an 82 rating on Metacritic, while Ultimate Alliance 2 (Xbox 360) has a 73 rating.

Marvel hasn’t shared an screen-shots or videos from the re-releases anywhere, but I guess we only have to wait until Tuesday to see.
