Indie game studio New Horizon Games is asking for $1,600 toward their RPG Puzzle Adventure title, Combat Cats.
The requested $1600 will be used for licensing fees and the addition of a retro soundtrack.
Putting one dollar down on the game will score you a copy of the mobile version of Combat Cats for iOS or Android devices. $5 or more will earn you a copy of the PC, Mac and Linux as well as the mobile version. You can even get your pet cat listed in the game’s end credits or have them added to the game as a character.
There will also be a photo contest coming to the game’s Facebook and Twitter page where you can send a photo of your cat featuring the Combat Cat logo for a chance to win a custom pixel piece created by the director of the game.
The story of Combat Cats places you in the less-than-”purrfect” situation at Kitty Island is “purrfect.” With the island now void of any catnip, you assume the role of a member of the Kitty Island Homelands Security Ace Fighter Pilot regime, the last stand to get catnip back to Kitty Island.
Combat Cats combines RPG and adventurous elements with Bejeweled-like gameplay. With a plethora of offensive and defensive actions, you need to match a variety of icons, allowing you to use rockets, bullets, repairs and other abilities.
