MAJOR NELSON UNBOXES XBOX ONE

Microsoft has released a video of Larry Hyrb, a.k.a. Major Nelson, unboxing the Xbox One and showing what the system comes with in addition to other system features.

The following is a list of what Major Nelson reveals in the video, which also revealed a headset will now be included in the package.

  • The outer box the Xbox One and its components are packed in
  • A wired monochat headset
  • Typical paper work, which includes an Xbox One sticker and a digital reward for those who purchase the day one edition
  • 4K HDMI Cable
  • Xbox One controller, which apparently has over 40 improvements, including a chrome D-pad.
  • The power cord and power brick
  • Kinect sensor, which can now works in almost any sized room. It also has improved gesture and voice control and will also display 1080p video for Skype.
  • The console as well as its components come in liquid black color
  • Slot loading blu ray drive
  • One USB 3.0 port on the sides as well as the binding button to set up controls
  • 500 GB hard drive
  • 8 core x86 processor
  • Wireless connectivity
  • Newly revealed touch on/off switch akin to the current Xbox 360 slim model
  • Back of the console (from left to right):- Power port
    – HDMI Input
    – Optical port
    – HDMI Output for cable or satellite boxes
    – 2 USB 3.0 ports
    – Kinect IR Blaster port
    – IR out port
    – Ethernet port
    – Kensington security slot

Nelson also indicates more reveals on the console itself at Gamescom near the end of the video.
